Stories WITH IMPACT

The Invisible Threads production arm specializes in creating impactful films and multimedia projects that uncover the forces shaping human experiences — power, pain, and joy. It focuses on stories that highlight wellbeing and personal and political health, emphasizing the complex interplay between individual lives and societal systems. Kate’s latest film project, PUBLIC DEFENDER, a New Yorker short doc about a liberal D.C. public defender representing suspects in the Jan. 6 attack, models restoring humanity one relationship at a time. The Washington Post film BRING THEM HOME screened at film festivals nationwide and helped change U.S. policy and public opinion around state hostage-taking. And the DOC NYC premiere and long festival run of FIGHT OR FLIGHT has invited audiences to reframe their understanding of trauma and recovery.
